Since July, ZUS has been sending decisions regarding the widow's pension. It indicates the amount of the benefit in the intersection. The moment of receiving the decision is not the same as the payment of money. It may happen that some applicants get a benefit before receiving the decision.

The plant reported that refusal decisions are also processed in parallel to payments. Their total number is currently 24.1 thousand. He emphasized that the most common reasons for refusal decisions include, among others: too high amount of the benefit currently paid (above three times the amount of the lowest pension), acquiring the right to a survivor's pension after the deceased spouse earlier than 5 years before reaching the universal retirement age, lack of the right to your own benefit.

The maximum amount of widow's pension may amount to 5,000. 636 PLN 73 gross gross (i.e. three times the lowest pension).

ZUS will issue a decision in which it refuses to determine the intersection of benefits, if the widow or widower does not meet at least one of the indicated conditions, or if the amount of at least one of the established services included in the intersection exceeds or is equal to the amount of the limit, i.e. three times the amount of the lowest pension.

The authorized person may receive two transfers: one of the Social Insurance Institution, the other from another institution. However, he will get one decision – from this organ, which will pay 15 percent. benefits.
