The attack was confirmed by the Governor of the Volgograd Oblast, Andrei Bocharov, who announced on Telegram that Volgograd was attacked by Ukrainian drones at night. “There are no casualties or damage to facilities at this time,” he assured.
The Russian side reports that on Friday night, air defense forces allegedly shot down 77 Ukrainian drones. 34 of them were to appear over the Volgograd Oblast.
The Lukoil refinery in Volgograd has previously been attacked by Ukrainian drones. The strikes occurred on September 18 and November 6 and damaged the crude oil pre-processing and hydrocracking equipment.
