You can make a universal cream sauce with just two available ingredients. It turns out tender, velvety, with a slight garlic note, but completely without any heat. This sauce is prepared in five minutes, does not require cooking and is perfectly stored in the refrigerator for up to four days.
This is the ideal solution when you need to quickly complement dinner, refresh a meat dish, or turn a simple salad into a real feast of taste. Even those who usually avoid garlic enjoy eating this sauce.
Ingredients:
- Natural yogurt or sour cream with a fat content of 10–20% – 250 g
- Garlic – 2 medium cloves
How to cook:
Peel the garlic and grate it on a fine grater. If you have a garlic press, you can use it, so the garlic will release the flavor more evenly. Under no circumstances should you cut it with a knife. Large pieces will not dissolve in the sauce and will produce bitterness rather than mild spiciness.
Place the chopped garlic in a deep bowl and add yogurt or sour cream. Gently stir with a fork or whisk for 30 seconds until completely smooth.
Now let the sauce sit for at least 10 minutes at room temperature. During this time, the garlic will “calm down”, its pungency will soften, and the aroma will be evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Ready!
