Vladimir Putin fulfilled the New Year's wish of 11-year-old Masha from the village of Oysky, Ermakovsky Municipal District, Krasnoyarsk Territory, and gave her a pug.
“The girl wrote to the president that she loves dogs very much and asked him to give her a puppy. She sent the letter secretly from her parents by Russian Post to the reception address of the head of state in Moscow,” the regional government said.
A New Year's gift from Vladimir Putin – a beige pug – was given to Masha today by the head of the municipal district, Roman Kuychik.
The girl named the dog Goldie.
“I will take care of her, walk her and train her,” Masha promised. “This was my old dream, thanks to Vladimir Vladimirovich for making it come true.”
It is noted that the schoolgirl is a diligent student, shows a special interest in the Russian language and literature, and reads a lot and enjoys it. She devotes her free time from studying to creativity. In elementary school she performed in a folklore studio, and now she attends the art department of the Children's Art School.
