Reversal of the situation in the case of the woman crushed by a car. The images appearing in the public space contradict the driver's defense

The images appeared from an accident that occurred two days ago in Tăcuta commune in Vaslui county, where a woman who got off a minibus was run over by a car driven by a young woman. The recording contradicts the theory circulated in defense of the driver, according to which the victim would have jumped into the street.

Witnesses reported at the time that the driver who injured the 50-year-old woman was not at fault, because the passenger in the minibus jumped out from behind the minibus, exactly into the car coming from the opposite direction, according to Vremea Nouă.

The information at that time indicated that the driver was not driving at speed and that she would have been only 30-40 km/h. The images captured on the surveillance cameras offer a completely different perspective on the accident, according to the cited source.

The recording does not show that the passenger in the minibus jumped in front of the car.

How the accident actually happened

In the images, it can be seen how the minibus leaves, and the woman undertakes to cross. From the opposite direction, a car comes at a very high speed, by no means 30-40 km/h as originally said. The minibus did not disturb his visibility.

The impact was violent, but the woman escaped with her life (her legs were broken).

The accident was heavily commented on on social networks.

Specialists believe that the accident could have been avoided.

“As you can see the minibus is leaving the station and a good few seconds pass before the woman is in front of the car. Just as it reaches the center of the road visibility was maximum and the driver would have had time to avoid the person, even if she was speeding. She was probably not paying attention or looking at something. Because all the time you see a minibus leaving the station you have to be aware of potential passengers who have got off and are trying to cross. I think the lack of experience of the driver, from what you told me she had a little time since she had her license”said a specialist in the field.

We remind you that a road accident took place on Tuesday, December 23, on the A 7 Focșani – Adjud highway, at kilometer 180, in the Adjud municipality area, less than an hour after the opening of traffic on this section.
