Krasnoyarsk Zoo “Roev Ruchey” accepts donations of live Christmas trees and toys

December 24 13:20
Krasnoyarsk Flora and Fauna Park “Roev Ruchey” announced its readiness to accept unsold New Year's spruce and firs as gifts from entrepreneurs. The trees, as in previous years, will be placed in enclosures to create a festive mood for both animals and zoo visitors.
“What happens in the enclosures when the Christmas tree appears? Mustelidae are having parkour competitions, cats are playing hide and seek, monkeys are enjoying a natural aromatherapy session, birds are using pine needles as luxury nesting material, and deer and bison are just happy because… well, they're deer and bison!” – reported the management of Roeva Rucheya.
At the same time, experts noted that they were ready to take only spruce and fir trees that had not been in the apartments. This is done for safety reasons, so that none of the zoo guests accidentally eat the rain and tinsel.
“A polar bear with tinsel in its stomach is no fun. Absolutely,” explained the Krasnoyarsk Flora and Fauna Park.
In addition to coniferous trees, Roev Ruchey also accepts donations of toys for animals. In anticipation of the New Year's holidays, you can bring volleyballs and larger balls, whole plastic toys, soft toys without batteries and large boxes to the zoo.
However, do not forget that animals should not be given food, batteries and squeakers, as well as any small toys and parts.
“Why can’t I feed? Our zoologists create a diet more accurately than a nutritionist for a top model. One “harmless” candy can cause a revolution in a raccoon’s stomach,” noted the management of Roeva Rucheya.
Gifts can be left at the park entrance, and specialists will distribute them properly.
