The announcement of Trump did not find information whether and when Wołodymyr Zelnski will be included in the negotiating process. Meanwhile, both Zelanski and European leaders emphasize that Ukraine must be part of all conversations regarding the end of the war.

In a statement, the leaders of France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, the European Union and Finland stated that the group was satisfied with “President Trump's actions aimed at stopping killing in Ukraine, the end of the aggressive war of the Russian Federation and achieving just and lasting peace and security for Ukraine.”
At the same time, it was emphasized that “the current contact line should be a starting point for negotiations, and occupied territories cannot be de iure recognized as part of the Russian Federation. Ukraine has the freedom to choose its own path. Serious negotiations can only take place in the conditions of weapon suspension or limitation of hostilities.
