In the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, MTS expanded 4G coverage

December 24 12:47

Residents of the Krasnoturansko-Idrinsky district in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory received stable voice communications and high-speed Internet. The MTS operator put into operation nine new 4G base stations.

Now the network coverage covers the villages of Mayskoye Utro, Ekaterinovka, Bolshoy Telek, Kurezh, Otrok, Romanovka, Nikolskoye, Novoberezovka and the village of Nikolaevka. In total, new digital opportunities became available to more than three thousand people. Improved communications affected key social facilities: schools, shops and residential buildings.

“We continue to expand the coverage of the MTS network in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In the agriculturally oriented Idra-Krasnoturansky district, where we completed the launch of new base stations on the air, the LTE communication standard appeared for the first time in a number of villages. For residents of small settlements, mobile Internet is an opportunity to pay for utilities, draw up the necessary documents for government services, consult with a doctor, call loved ones or social services,” said Sergei Yegoshin, director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

According to him, by the end of the year it is planned to build more than 240 base stations in the region to further expand coverage.
