The new section of Autostrada Moldovei, temporarily closed in one direction only a few hours after being put into use

Four people were transported to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, after a truck, a van and a car collided on the newly opened section of the A7 highway, near Adjud. Road traffic is stopped on the Focşani-Adjud direction, being diverted to DN 2, informs News.ro.
The Infotraffic Center of the Romanian Police informs that, on the A 7 Focșani – Adjud highway, at kilometer 180, in the area of Adjud municipality, Vrancea county, a road accident occurred involving a car, a van and a truck.
Three crews from the Adjud Fire Department intervene there, with a fire truck, a SMURD ambulance and an extrication truck, together with two SAJ crews.
“As a result of the accident, there were four conscious victims who were not incarcerated, they were picked up and transported to the hospital by the medical crews present at the scene”, stated ISU Vrancea.
Road traffic is stopped on the Focşani – Adjud lanes, being diverted on DN 2, on the Pufeşti – Adjud bypass route. Normal traffic is expected to resume around 2:00 p.m.

A new section of the A7 highway (Autostrada Moldovei), between Focsani and Adjud, with a length of about 50 kilometers, was opened to traffic on Tuesday. Thus, there is continuous traffic on the highway from Bucharest to Adjud, CNAIR representatives show.
