After the theft from a bank card, a Krasnoyarsk resident himself came to the police after seeing his photo from the crime scene on social networks.
At the end of November, a 38-year-old woman contacted the duty station and reported that she had lost her card, after which she received a notification that almost 10,000 rubles had been written off. Law enforcement officers established that an unknown man used the card to pay at the liquor store; his face was caught on a surveillance camera.
“On December 22, a Krasnoyarsk resident saw his photograph and information about the search in one of the social network groups, became ashamed and called the police to turn himself in. A previously convicted 42-year-old man admitted that he picked up a bank card on the street and used it to pay in various stores. He repented of his actions and agreed to compensate the victim for material damage,” the police said.
