Snowfall in Bucharest for Christmas. A layer of snow will fall

The weather is changing significantly in the Capital starting Tuesday evening. Temperatures are dropping and forecasters say the rain will gradually turn to snow by Christmas Day.
Bucharest is under a code yellow weather warning for wind intensification, blizzards and poles between December 24, 12:00 p.m. and December 25, 8:00 p.m. Meteorologists have updated the forecast for the entire country, which you can see here.
The weather will be closed on Tuesday, December 23, in Bucharest, but with slightly higher thermal values than usual on this date, according to the special forecast for Bucharest, published on Tuesday by ANM.
Conditions will be transient, with drizzle during the day and light rain at night. The wind will blow weak to moderate, with slight intensifications especially in the second part of the night (gusts of 30 km/h). The maximum temperature will be around 5 degrees, and the minimum will be 1…3 degrees.
It snows on Christmas night in Bucharest
On Wednesday, Christmas Eve, the weather will be overcast and windy, so the cold feeling will be amplified. There will be precipitation, during the day in the form of rain, in the evening it will turn into sleet and snow, and on Christmas night it will snow. Also, there will be wet conditions.
The estimated snow layer, with varying thicknesses, will be 3…6 cm. The wind will intensify (gusts of 50…60 km/h), so that the snow will temporarily be blizzard at night. The maximum temperature will be around 3 degrees, and the minimum will be -2…-1 degrees.
On Thursday, the first day of Christmas, the weather will cool significantly and become much colder than normal for this date, according to the ANM.
What will the Christmas weather be like in Bucharest?
During the day, the sky will be cloudy, and in the first hours it will snow lightly and another 1…2 cm will fall, so that the thickness of the snow layer will be 5…8 cm.
The wind will intensify with gust speeds of 45…55 km/h in the first hours of the interval, amplifying the feeling of cold.
From the evening hours, the sky will gradually clear, and the wind will decrease considerably in intensity, coming to blow moderately (gusts of up to 20…30 km/h).
The maximum temperature will be around -2 degrees, and the minimum will be -7…-5 degrees.
