Let us remind you that the house at 124 Lenina Street was restored especially for these purposes: the foundation, external and internal walls, windows, doors, floors and roof were restored; installed new ventilation, electrical, heating and other utility systems.
“A special place in the Center for Spiritual Culture is occupied by the museum and exhibition part, represented by six halls. The exhibition also includes personal belongings of St. Demetrius of Nerovetsky, who died a martyr’s death during the Civil War; a table that belonged to a student and colleague of St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky); icons, spiritual literature, personal belongings of the Krasnoyarsk intelligentsia of the 20th century and works of art,” the Ministry of Culture said.
The first guests of honor, for whom an introductory tour was held, were the Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Arkady Zinov, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk, Priest Vladimir Luzhkov, head of the public relations department of the regional governor Roman Barinov and deputy of the Legislative Assembly, chairman of the committee on education and culture Vera Oskina.
“A new institution, a new cultural and educational platform has appeared in the culture of our region. Its events will introduce residents to traditional Russian spiritual and moral values through exhibitions, presentations, creative meetings, seminars, as well as the publication of historical and cultural materials together with the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church. I am confident that the Kasyanovsky House will become a center of attraction for people of all ages,” said the region’s Minister of Culture Arkady Zinov.
He was supported and Metropolitan Nikita: “Our state has gone through different stages: deep faith, denial of faith, atheism, a return to its roots. We must know and understand what difficult periods our people have gone through. All this is reflected in the exhibition, which will acquaint all visitors to the Center for Spiritual Culture with our difficult historical path.”
Receive first visitors Center for Spiritual Culture “Kasyanovsky House” will start on December 26, entry will be free for everyone. From January 2026, a cultural and educational program for all ages is planned: master classes, creative meetings and educational lectures. The announcement will be posted on the website of the State Center of Folk Art of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Information: The building that houses the Kasyanovsky House Center for Spiritual Culture was built in 1856 by merchant I.I. Tokarev. From 1864 to 1897, the archpriest of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Vasily Kasyanov lived here. In 1897, the grandson of the priest, Marxist Pyotr Krasikov, hosted Vladimir Ulyanov-Lenin. In 1970, the P.A. Museum was opened in the house. Krasikov, from 2006 to 2014 there were temporary exhibitions. In 2015, the house was transferred to the public organization “Ladanka” for the organization of the Center for Spiritual Culture “Kasyanovsky House”. Restoration of the object lasted from 2020 to 2025.
