The Capital City Hall announces, on Monday, that the authorities are ready for the first snowfall in Bucharest, this winter, after meteorologists predicted that it will snow on the night of December 24 to 25. According to PMB, even if it will not snow abundantly, sanitation operators from all six sectors are ready to intervene, in total, with over 500 machines and almost 2,500 people, writes News.ro.

The representatives of sanitation operators from all over Bucharest met, on Monday, at the headquarters of the Capital City Hall, in a meeting in which they established in detail the measures they will take, how they will be organized and coordinated.

Thus, 512 machines, most of them multi-functional, and 2,496 people from all sectors are ready to intervene, to ensure snow removal and to fight snow in Bucharest.

The cited source stated that in the warehouses, the workers have at their disposal, in total, 21,872 tons of anti-slip material.

According to the cited source, all the nearly 2,500 workers from all six sectors of the Capital will work with plows, salters, front loaders and platforms for carrying snow.

Priority will be given to main streets and boulevards, STB stations, the area of ​​hospitals, public institutions, schools (after the holidays) and markets, the same source said.

at the same time, the workers will operate, mechanized or manual, on secondary streets and alleys, as well as on sidewalks. At the same time, the Bucharest Transport Company intervenes with 22 plows, during the night, to clean the tram lines.

Bucharest City Hall has the role of coordination, monitoring and control of the sanitation operators in the sectors, the goal being that there are no blockages in any sector, on any street.

Residents of the capital can send notifications both to the PMB dispatcher (031.9898) and directly to the dispatcher of the sector sanitation operator, PMB also says.
