Raul Rusescu, the former striker from FCSBanalyzed the derby between the red-blues and Rapid, score 2-1. The three-time champion of Romania believes that the Giulești team entered the field with the intention of obtaining a draw.
FCSB won with Rapid in the last leg of 2025. Olaru opened the scoring with a superb left-footed shot into the far corner. Florin Tănase scored for 2-0 from the penalty. Dobre also scored from 11 meters, reducing the difference in the 86th minute.
At GSP Live Special, Rusescu criticized Rapid's performance, considering that the Giulio team played too few times with the ball behind the opposing defense, for Petrila and Dobre, players recognized for their speed.
Raul Rusescu: “Rapid only wanted to get a draw, to finish the year in first place”
“The second half was different from the first. Rapid had to come to the match. Petrila, Christensen, Dobre had to come to the match. The first half was modest for them. However, the second half also started with a huge opportunity from Bîrligea. Rapid wanted a point, that was their basic idea.
Dobre and Petrila had only one pass received behind the defense, on the foul on Petrila. Rapid wanted to get just a draw, to finish the year in first place”, said Raul Rusescu, at GSP Live Special.
Rusescu also commented on the phase at the end of the match, when Hromada asked for a second penalty for Rapid, after a duel in the FCSB box.
In the phase with Hromada there is no penalty, we cannot give a penalty for any contact. It's a piece of cake, you can't give a penalty for something like that. It's too little for a penalty.
