Naples and Milan, in the footsteps of Cristi Chivu
The Rossoneri are currently in second place with 63 points, while Napoli are right behind them with 62.
The stakes are huge as a win could keep both teams in the title race, with leaders Inter on 72 points after their emphatic 5-2 win over Roma.
Naples is going through an excellent period. Antonio Conte's side are coming off the back of four straight league wins against Cagliari, Lecce, Torino and Verona, and have regained confidence after the setback to Atalanta at the end of February.
On the other hand, Milan has alternated developments, with three wins and two defeats in the last five stages, but in the previous round it achieved an important success, 3-2, against Torino.
The recent history of direct confrontations shows a balance. Napoli prevailed in the Supercup of Italy from December 2025, score 2-0, through the goals scored by David Neres and Rasmus Hojlund.
Instead, in the championship, Milan won the round match, 2-1. The last meeting in Naples also ended in a 2-1 victory for the hosts in March last year.
A success for the hosts would see them move up to 2nd place and stay in the title race, while a win for Milan would strengthen the team's position in the Champions League direct qualification zone.
