There is dense fog in most of the country, and traffic visibility is reduced. Police warnings

The Infotraffic Center of the Romanian Police announces that on Saturday evening it is driving in conditions of dense fog on most of the road arteries in the north, center and east of the country, traffic visibility being reduced in some places even below 50 meters. In addition, the phenomenon can favor the appearance of poley.

The police recommend drivers to ensure good visibility by cleaning the windows and headlights, to reduce speed, to keep a greater distance between vehicles while driving, not to engage in risky overtaking, not to stop on the carriageway, on the lanes or on the emergency stop on the highways.

“We advise pedestrians to avoid moving on the side of the road at night or in conditions of reduced visibility due to fog. Make sure that the intention to cross was noticed by the driver!”, transmits the Romanian Police.

Meteorologists have issued nowcasting yellow fog warnings valid for the next few hours within the radius of nine counties in Transylvania and Muntenia. Localities from Cluj, Alba, Covasna, Brăila, Ialomiţa, Prahova, Buzău, Călăraşi and Dâmboviţa counties are targeted, where fog will be signaled and visibility will be reduced, locally below 200 meters, isolated below 50 meters.
