Donald Trump's peace plan. Peacekeeping troops will enter the Gaza Strip
Support was given for the establishment and launch of a Peace Council soon as a transitional administration dealing with the civilian aspects of security and reconstruction.
It reaffirmed its commitment to President Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan and called on all parties to honor their commitments, exercise restraint and cooperate with those monitoring the process. Further consultations on the implementation of phase two are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
The second phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas includes the withdrawal of the army from part of the territory of the Strip and the deployment of the international stabilization force (ISF) there. The governing structures in the Strip are to be headed by a Peace Council chaired by Trump, which will include about 10 leaders from Arab and Western countries, US officials previously reported. Trump announced that he plans to announce the establishment of the Peace Council early next year.
