US President Donald Trump is to be informed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that any expansion of Iran's ballistic missile program represents a threat that could require swift action, NBC News reported Saturday, taken by Reuters.
According to the US outlet, Israeli officials are concerned that Iran is on the way to rebuilding the uranium enrichment facilities that the United States bombed in June and are preparing to brief President Trump on options to strike again at Iran's missile program.
The Reuters agency mentions instead that it could not independently verify the information presented by NBC News.
Iran's nuclear facilities were damaged by the bombings in the summer, but it is not clear to what extent they also affected the stockpile of enriched uranium, nor where it is currently hidden.
