USA after talks with Europe
The U.S.-Russia meeting will come a day after Americans held talks with Ukrainian and European representatives focused on the peace plan.
This plan gives hope for resolving the conflict, but it is unclear whether Russia will accept the proposed terms. Vladimir Putin's envoy is scheduled to meet with Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, and diplomat Steve Witkoff. Marco Rubio, national security adviser, may also participate.
This is another meeting in Florida, the previous one took place at the golf club in Hallandale Beach in Miami, owned by Witkoff.

No compromise from Russia
US intelligence services warn that Vladimir Putin is still seeking a full takeover of Ukraine. That contradicts suggestions from some U.S. officials who say Moscow may be ready for peace.
During the last press conference in Moscow, Putin confirmed his previous demands, including Ukraine's giving up its aspirations to join NATO and withdrawing from the four regions that Russia considers its own.
The Ukrainian authorities firmly reject these conditions, emphasizing that they will not give up the areas that Russia has tried unsuccessfully to conquer since the beginning of the war.
Progress in talks, but no breakthrough
Rustem Umerov, Ukraine's chief negotiator, announced that Friday's talks with the participation of the US and Europe resulted in an agreement on further actions.
“We have agreed with our American partners on the next steps and the continuation of joint work in the near future,” Umerov wrote on Telegram, adding that President Volodymyr Zelensky was informed about the results of the talks.
Marco Rubio, commenting on the negotiations so far, emphasized that although progress has been made, the road to an agreement is still long.
