A breakthrough in Polish companies. Almost every CEO is already planning a budget for the development of artificial intelligence

According to the EY study “AI solutions in companies”, 77 percent Polish organizations plan to increase spending on this technology in the next 18 months. Compared to 2024, this group increased by 5 percentage points. (from 72%). Another 17 percent wants to keep expenses unchanged (down from 20%). In turn, 3 percent companies – just like a year earlier – are planning minor restrictions. The group of uncertain investments has shrunk in recent years from 6 to 1 percent.
According to the authors of the study, the data suggests that Polish companies recognize the real business value of artificial intelligence, which is reflected in their plans to increase budgets for these solutions. The small percentage of declarations on spending reductions confirms that AI is treated as a strategic development investment and not an area for cost cutting, it was reported.
The study shows that 43 percent medium and large companies in Poland are in the process of implementing AI; and this is an almost identical result compared to previous years. 34 percent companies completed the first AI implementations; that's 9 percentage points. more than in 2024 (25%). In turn, 9 percent enterprises are just analyzing possible options in this area (down from 18% in 2024). The group of organizations that do not plan to implement AI is also decreasing: in 2025 they constituted 1%, and a year earlier – 5%.
Artificial intelligence mainly goes to departments where large amounts of data are processed: IT (an increase from 33% in 2024 to 51% in 2025), customer service (from 41% to 48%), marketing (from 41% to 47%), sales (from 38% to 42%) and cybersecurity (from 28% to 40%). Clear increases can be seen in all surveyed areas, which indicates that AI is entering the mainstream of activities of entire organizations, not individual teams, the authors of the study said.
The most frequently indicated motivations for implementing AI remain the automation of internal processes (increase from 41% in 2024 to 59% in 2025), better customer reach (increase from 35% to 56%) and the introduction of new services or products (increase from 15% to 48%). One third of companies (up from 6% to 33%) are implementing AI because they want to stay ahead of the competition.
When implementing AI, Polish companies are primarily concerned about data security and cybersecurity (39%). More than one third cited technological difficulties (34%) and regulatory uncertainty and organizational problems (32% each). 26 percent enterprises are afraid of high implementation costs, and 23 percent — quality of results. Concerns about the validity of investments (15%) and the use of data (11%) are less common.
The study “AI solutions in companies” was carried out on behalf of EY by CubeResearch among 499 Polish companies operating in the production, service and trade sectors. 56 percent respondents came from medium-sized companies, and 44 percent — from the big ones. The study was conducted in the last quarter of 2025.
