S7 road with a new section. They can enjoy themselves in the vicinity of Warsaw

“Drivers already have at their disposal 35 km of dual carriageway, three-lane S7 between Płońsk and Czosnów” – informs the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA).
The announcement indicates that at the end of October, 9.7 km of the Modlin – Czosnów section was opened to traffic, and now another 25 km between the Płońsk Południe and Modlin junctions.

Drivers will have two roads with three lanes at their disposal, but with restrictions on the section closest to Płońsk.
“In the case of the middle task (Załuski – Modlin), the works have been completed and we have obtained an occupancy permit. It enabled the introduction of permanent traffic organization. Drivers can also use the Zakrętym and Załuski junctions,” says GDDKiA.

As for the section between the Płońsk Południe and Załuski junctions, work is still in progress. The speed limit on the route will be 100 km per hour. All connections will be available at the Poczernin junction, and the Przyborowice junction will be closed to traffic.

If weather conditions allow, the works are expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
The investment is co-financed by EU funds from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment Program (FEnIKS). The planned total cost of implementing three sections of the S7 Płońsk – Czosnów expressway is slightly over PLN 2.8 billion.. The amount of eligible expenditure is nearly PLN 1.5 billion, and co-financing from EU funds is slightly over PLN 1.2 billion.

The Masovian Voivode is conducting administrative proceedings regarding the issuance of a building permit (i.e. a decision authorizing the implementation of a road investment – ZRID) for the 9-kilometer section between Czosnów and Kiełpin.

“The Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Warsaw has issued a reconciling decision on the environmental impact assessment of the investment. Work will be able to start after obtaining the ZRID decision, in the first quarter of 2026. The contractor's claims are being processed and he expects an extension of the time for completion or additional financial resources,” we read.
For the last section, from Kiełpin to Warsaw (12.9 km), design documentation is being prepared for the purposes of obtaining a ZRID decision. The documentation is planned to be collected in the second quarter of 2026.
