Andrzej Domański attacked Karol Nawrocki. “No way”

Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański was a guest of Wednesday's edition of Monika Olejnik's “Kropka nad i” program. He spoke, among others: about presidential bill on the cryptocurrency marketwhich was submitted to the Sejm on Wednesday. The head of the president's office, Zbigniew Bogucki, said that this was an “extend” from Karol Nawrocki.
– There is no question of extending your hand. The president promised this bill many months ago. We waited, we waited. He complained that our bill was allegedly very long and over-regulated, he counted the pages and after five months of waiting, he finally presented his bill, which is a longer bill and also worse, said Domański.

Previously, in December 2025 and February 2026, the president vetoed the law prepared by the government twice. Domański noted that government projects put the protection of Poles first. In his opinion, “what stands out for Mr. President is a certain dilution of customer protection.”
— Take, for example, the ability to block dishonest websites through which cryptoassets are offered. In the case of the president's act, such an unfair website can only be blocked if the entity operates without appropriate consent. In our bill, which has already been vetoed twice by the president, we also wrote that if the interests of investors and savers are at risk, he said.
Domański was asked whether the government would take up the president's project. — The government rules, the government presents specific regulations. Today, Minister Zbigniew Bogucki was kind enough to say that the government is responsible for the legislative process. It is up to us to regulate this market, he said. He added that the changes proposed by the president “go in the opposite direction than what Poles want.”
Government project on cryptoassets. This is the third attempt
A new bill on cryptoassets will be submitted to the Sejm this week. This is the third attempt by the current government to regulate this market. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the new version of the regulations will include higher sanctions for fraudsters than previous drafts.

Domański noted that the government project “goes towards the president” and tightens penalties. — The president should finally understand that he made a very serious mistake twice. In one of his posts on social media, he complained that he received certain information too late and that he allegedly did not know about it when he first vetoed it. During the second veto, according to his entry, he already knew, now he knows 100 percent. – emphasized the minister.
Domański was asked what Nawrocki would do with the next government project. – I learned that you can expect any decision from Mr. President, no matter how unwise it may be – he concluded.
On December 1, 2025, the Office of the President announced that President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the act on the crypto-asset market adopted on November 7, 2025. In the vote that took place in the Sejm on December 5, 2025, the coalition failed to override the presidential veto.
On December 9 last year, the government adopted a draft bill on the crypto-assets market, almost identical to the one previously vetoed by Karol Nawrocki. In February, the president vetoed the bill for the second timeand the coalition in April once again the veto could not be overturned.
