President Nicușor Dan announces when he will present a summary of the problems in the judiciary. “We received hundreds of pages of relevant material from the magistrates”

President Nicușor Dan announced on Saturday that he will present the conclusions of the discussions with the magistrates, at the end of Monday, in a press conference. A summary of the issues raised by the magistrates will be published on Sunday.

Nicușor Dan said that he received from the magistrates hundreds of pages of relevant materials about the problems in the judiciary, which he is going through this weekend.

“I have received from the magistrates hundreds of pages of relevant materials on the issues in the judiciary. As I promised, I will go through them this weekend, and at the end of Monday I will return with conclusions, after discussions with those who registered in the audience”the president announced in a Facebook post.

The head of state says that these consultations on Monday will take place in several rounds of discussions: both with groups of magistrates who want to participate together, and individually, with those who explicitly requested this in the e-mail.

“To ensure the confidentiality of the participants, access to journalists will not be allowed in the discussion room. I will make the conclusions public at the end of the day during a press conference“, Nicușor Dan also specified.

The President also announced that the Presidential Administration is working on a synthesis of the received documents, which will be published on Sunday, without revealing the identity of the senders.
