December 19 21:18

Vladimir Putin's direct line has ended in Moscow.

The President held a final press conference on Friday, combined with a direct line. The event lasted 4 hours 27 minutes. The President answered more than 80 questions from journalists and Russians.

The head of state answered questions regarding the Ukrainian settlement, spoke about the situation on the line of combat contact, spoke about the main economic indicators, demography and other topical issues.

Putin annually answers questions from citizens. The first time he held a press conference for journalists and a direct line was in 2001; in 2023, the events were combined into one format.

This year the direct line took place on Friday, and not on Thursday, as has been the case since 2007. Until today, the only exception was 2021, then Putin spoke with Russians on Wednesday.

What was discussed on the direct line:

From January 1, Russia will introduce new measures to support families with children

Peskov named the main topics of questions on a direct line with Putin

Putin admitted the shortage of fish on Russian tables
