New photos related to Epstein, released by Democrats in the US Congress on the eve of a crucial date

Democratic members of the US Congress published new images related to Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday, December 18, one day before the deadline for the administration of President Donald Trump to publish the documents in its possession about the convicted sex offender who died in prison, reports AFP.

It is about 68 new images among the 95,000 that the elected officials declared last week that they received from Epstein's legates, according to Agerpres, which cites the foreign press agency.

The release of these images is intended to put pressure on the Trump administration, which must release by Friday at the latest documents in its possession about the New York financier, who died in prison in 2019, ahead of his trial for sex crimes.

“It's Time for the Justice Department to Release the File”declared the elected Democrats, members of a powerful committee in the House of Representatives, in a message on X.

During his victorious 2024 campaign, Donald Trump promised explosive revelations about “the Epstein affair,” but the Republican president urged his supporters for months to move on, calling the case a “farceexaggerated by the democratic opposition.

In November, after a long period of opposition, he was forced in November to sign a law requiring his administration to release all documents related to the case.

The death of Jeffrey Epstein, found hanged in his New York cell on August 10, 2019, fueled countless conspiracy theories that he was killed to cover up a scandal involving high-profile figures.

In some of the photos released Thursday, Epstein appears in an office with Steve Bannon, a former adviser to Donald Trump, as well as aboard what appears to be a private jet with left-wing intellectual Noam Chomsky and posing with filmmaker Woody Allen.

Other images show passports and identity cards belonging to Ukrainian, Russian and South African women, their names and photos covered with black tape.

The existence of links between these persons and the financier was already known. None of the photos released last week appeared to show any illegal behavior.

Last week, the elected Democrats had already published numerous images, including Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton, as well as the former British Prince Andrew. Steve Bannon and Woody Allen were already on the list, as were Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, and Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group.

Close to Jeffrey Epstein in the 1990s, Donald Trump has always denied knowledge of his criminal behavior and claims they spent time together in the early 2000s, long before Epstein was investigated by authorities.
