The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski came to Turkey ready for talks, but Putin refused to participate and sent a lower -level delegation. This move angry Ukrainians and raised doubts about whether there would be any negotiations at all.

This would convince the US President to continue interest in the situation in Ukraine and to put pressure on Russia to commit herself to unconditional suspension of weapons.
Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov has underestimated Zełnski's proposal. He stated that Ukraine would use every break in armed operations to be reached.

Moscow once again rejected the proposal to suspend their weapons and did not give up any of the war goals she set at the beginning of aggression. Among them was, among others The postulate of disarming Ukraine, her aspiration to NATO membership and the restoration of the dominance of the Russian language, religion and culture in this country.

– The Russian chair in Turkey is de facto empty. Because it doesn't matter if no one, sent by Putin, and his non -exceptional colleagues sit on their chairs or not. They are not the ones who make decisions. And the person who does this – Putin – is either afraid to come or does not seriously treat peaceful activities under the leadership of the US – said anonymously an Ukrainian diplomat in Turkey.
