The mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Emil Boc, surprised everyone after he went on stage at the Excellence Gala “Ten for Cluj”where he did 29 push-ups alongside performance athletes.

Four performance athletes performed push-ups alongside the 59-year-old mayor of Cluj-Napoca, and the guests in the hall, including students and teachers, supported them with applause.
The moment was captured after Alisia Perșa, world champion in calisthenics, challenged the mayor to do push-ups with her and three other athletes, as happened in 2023, according to stiridecluj.ro.
Edilul managed to keep up with the performance athletes and even exceeded the 10 push-ups originally set, managing to reach almost 30.

The moment was filmed by several people, and the images became viral on social networks.
It is not the first time that the mayor of Cluj-Napoca is filmed doing push-ups. A year ago, at the challenge of a student, the mayor did 30 push-ups on stage, to the astonishment of the audience present in the hall.
