Andrei Nicolescu, the president of Dinamo, revealed that discussions have been started to extend the contract between the club and defender Kennedy Boateng (29 years old).
In the year and a half spent at Dinamo, Kennedy Boateng became one of the most appreciated stoppers in the championship. His contract with Dinamo is due on June 30, 2026, so the officials of the red and white club have started discussions regarding the possible extension.

“Boateng's current contract expires at the end of the season. We are negotiating for a new contract, we'll see how soon. I'm optimistic-reserved, because always each side knows their interests. Every time there are negotiations about details.
He feels good here, he knows what Dinamo has done for him, Dinamo knows what he can give, so from this point of view, I think we have a great advantage over any other negotiations”, stated the president of Dinamo in the first phase.
Asked if he is betting on negotiations and a possible participation in a European cupNicolescu confirmed: “We have an extra asset, we are thinking about the real way that participation in the European Cups is important for both of themas well as for the club”.

Regarding the targets in the next mercato, which will start in the Super League in January, Nicolescu confirmed the 3 positions that Dinamo is looking to strengthen in the winter.
“We are in an analysis, ideally for us it would be to be able to transfer 4 players. If you ask me by the way when these transfers will be made, we, like all Dynamo supporters, hope it will happen as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee that we will have news in the training camp in Antalya.
As positions, we want to bring in centre-backs, left-backs and strikers. If something extraordinary comes up in the meantime, we will obviously accept any transfer that will add value. But we focus on these positions to bring doubles in the team's gear.
We discussed within the shareholding and there is also budget for certain types of transfer this winter. The transfer budget for the winter was approximated quite loosely in the summer, it was not the threshold that had to be necessarily respected in the winter”.
