Warsaw gains another flight to Riga. airBaltic has been connecting capitals since spring


From March 30, 2026, passengers will be able to use direct flights between Warsaw and Riga, which will be launched by the Latvian carrier airBaltic. Planes on this route will operate three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

airBaltic expands its offer in Poland. This is the second connection
The new airBaltic offer is a response to the growing interest in the carrier's services in Poland. In a press release, the airlines emphasized that the connection will not only improve travel between the capitals of Poland and Latvia, but will also enable convenient transfers at the largest airport in the Baltic countries, which provides access to Estonia, Lithuania, Finland and Scandinavia. Mantas Vrubliauskas, vice-president of the airBaltic route network, noted that the new flights are another step in strengthening relations between Poland and Latvia.
Warsaw – Riga is the second connection of the Latvian carrier with Poland. Currently, airBaltic serves the Krakow – Vilnius route, with flights operating twice a week.

airBaltic, the national carrier of Latvia, has a fleet of 51 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The company offers connections from the Baltic countries to 80 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The carrier places great emphasis on transfer connections from the hub in Riga, which allows passengers to easily travel within the Baltic region and further to Scandinavia or other countries of the Baltic Sea.
Previously, the connection between the Polish and Latvian capital was available thanks to LOT connections (several times a week) and Ryanair (depending on seasonality). You can also fly to Riga from Poland from Krakow, Wrocław, Katowice and Gdańsk.
