Julian Nagelsmann: “It took us a few minutes to get back into the game after they equalized”
In pursuit of world title number 5, Germany has made a perfect start to the World Championship in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The national team led by him crushed Curacao, debutant at the World Championship, with a score of 7-1. However, despite the decisive victory, he spoke of an important psychological moment in the 21st minute, when the score was 1-0 for the Germans, Livano Comenencia restored the tie.
The Germany coach said the German players struggled to get back into the game after the equalizer but believes the first win is very important on their debut in such a final tournament.
“It took us a few minutes to get back into the game after they equalised. Curacao also know how to play football as we have seen and I am curious to see how they will fare in the group from now on.
I'm very pleased that we scored seven goals and also our performance for most of the time. A winning start is always important and we are happy to have achieved it,” Julian Nagelsmann said after the match, according to sportal.bg.
