The water desalination plant installed by Klarwin in the municipality of Târnăveni was put into operation on Tuesday, December 16.

The system is fully automated and allows the continuous monitoring of the operating parameters, with the adjustment of the operation according to the variations in the quality of the raw water, being developed especially for the localities affected by the increase in water salinity, following the incident at the Praid salt mine.
“The Târnăveni project involved a complex integration into an existing system and close coordination between all parties involved – operator, authorities and technical teams. The commissioning of the station is the result of this joint effort, carried out in an accelerated calendar and under difficult technical conditions”said Adrian Dobre, Klarwin CEO.
The Târnăveni desalination plant uses a reverse osmosis treatment process with Aquaporin membranes, designed to reduce chloride concentration and maintain operational stability.
“Commissioning the desalination plant is an important step for our community. We are talking about a concrete solution that responds to a real problem and gives people back access to safe drinking water”said Sorin Megheșan, the mayor of Târnăveni.
In the following period, the technical and operational procedures will be completed, and the station will operate under a monitored regime, with preventive maintenance, to ensure stable operation.
“Our priority is the delivery of water under safe conditions and legal compliance. The commissioning of the Târnăveni station allows us a controlled supply of drinking water, the result of effective technical collaboration”said Sipos Levente, Director General of Aquaserv.
The desalination plant in Târnăveni was designed and manufactured in Romania, in the Klarwin facilities, which allowed the rapid adaptation of the solution to local conditions and the reduction of the implementation time.
