The “winter” asphalt season has opened in Krasnoyarsk, the press service of the mayor’s office reported.
The road surface will be restored with a special hot mixture. The municipal Specialized Motor Transport Enterprise clarified that cast asphalt consists of crushed stone, sand, mineral powder and bitumen. Before laying on the road, the mixture is heated to 190-220 °C. Asphalt is fluid, it fills holes well and does not require compaction. This allows you to quickly resolve the problem.
Last night, road workers carried out repairs on a section of the road to Aviatorov.
“Important: poured asphalt is a temporary solution. Full road repairs are planned for the sections in the summer,” the mayor’s office recalled.
Such repairs will be carried out only at night, so as not to interfere with traffic, the transport company explained.
