MTS called the top of the most bought by Krasnoyarsk according to the trad-in smartphones system

The Digital Ecosystem of MTS recorded the increased interest of users in the trad-in program in their own retail network.

In August, the number of purchased smartphones under the program increased by 37 % compared to the same period last year. The greatest demand was recorded in the Siberian Federal District and in the Krasnoyarsk Territory: in 2025, trad-in sales increased more than 10 times compared to 2024.

In the MTS retail network, the Samsung brand smartphones are most often purchased by the Trad-in system-in Siberia over the past three months, 77 % of all purchases of new smartphones accounted for it. At the same time, the Siberian Federal District showed the greatest activity among buyers who transfer used smartphones as the cost of buying a new product.

Of the models that they want to exchange the old smartphone, the Siberians have the most popular flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. In second place for the program participants – Xiaomi gadgets (7 %), in third – Apple (4 %).

Residents of the Siberian regions are most often handed over to the phones of the Korean brand (in 44 % of cases). The most common model participating in the trad-in in exchange for a discount on a new device was the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra model. The Xiaomi brand (26 %) settled in second place. But with their old phones of the “apple” brand, the Siberians are not ready to part as often as the rest of the Russians-for example, residents of Moscow, the North-West and Ural federal districts. In third place are the rest of the brands.

MTS analysts associate an increase in interest in trad-in with an increase in discounts on the purchase of new smartphones. In 2025, they grew by 26 % to 20 thousand rubles, depending on the brand and the gadget model. The value of the discount on the Trede-in program depends on the model, the status of the handed over the smartphone and the selected device for the purchase.
