Earthquake in Romania, Wednesday morning

An earthquake of medium intensity occurred on Wednesday morning in the Vrancea seismic zone, Buzau county, INFP announced.

The magnitude 4 earthquake occurred at 5:28 a.m. and was felt in several localities near the epicenter, according to information published by the National Earth Physics Research and Development Institute (INCDFP).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 147 km near the following cities: 52 km southeast of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 56 km east of Brașov, 62 km south of Buzău, 68 km south of Focșani, 73 km north of Ploiesti, 99 km northeast of Târgoviște.

The strongest earthquake this year, with a magnitude of 4.5, occurred on February 26, also in Vrancea county.
