A native of Krasnoyarsk, Mirra Andreeva became the winner of the Russian Cup. She was recognized as “Tennis Player of the Year” at a ceremony in Moscow, the Russian Tennis Federation reports.

The athlete, who is currently ranked 9th in the WTA world rankings, demonstrated outstanding results last season. She won victories at the prestigious WTA 1000 tournaments in Dubai (UAE) and Indian Wells (USA), twice reached the quarterfinals of Grand Slam tournaments (Roland Garros and Wimbledon), and also successfully debuted in the top 5 of the world rankings, having barely celebrated her 18th birthday.

Last season, Andreeva also won WTA doubles tournaments twice with Diana Schneider, with whom she won silver medals at the Olympic Games in the summer of 2024.

Mirra Andreeva made history as the youngest winner of a thousand-dollar tournament and became the third tennis player in the last decade to play in 10 Slam main draws before turning 19.
