Rostelecom's service will ensure that drivers undergo a remote medical examination

12 December 12:15

Rostelecom's remote medical examination service will check the health status of vehicle drivers at enterprises before starting a trip or shift.

The corresponding agreement was signed by the Scientific Research Institute of Automobile Transport (NIIAT) and RTK-MedOperator (part of the Rostelecom Health cluster). Remote medical examination increases the level of safety at the enterprise, reduces the likelihood of accidents, makes it possible to quickly update data on the health status of employees, and also reduces the administrative burden by automating document flow.

Drivers of all categories, as well as employees working in harmful or dangerous working conditions, must undergo mandatory medical examinations before starting a work shift or flight. In-person medical examinations are associated with high costs, risks of falsification and incompetence, which increases the danger for enterprises due to poor control over the actual health status of employees. Remote medical examination provides transparent and objective control.

Rostelecom's remote medical examination service monitors pressure, pulse, temperature and the presence of ethanol vapor, allowing you to monitor the dynamics of health indicators of drivers and enterprise employees. You can check your condition before a flight or shift anywhere, regardless of geographic location or time of day. The decision on admission to a flight or shift is made by the doctor using the Rostelecom service. All information about medical examinations is automatically transferred to NIIAT, which ensures the required level of control over the integrity, relevance of verification information and conditions of use of the equipment used.

The platform works with software and hardware systems from leading manufacturers, certified by Roszdravnadzor, and can significantly speed up the procedure for medical examinations. Thus, the employer receives a tool for managing occupational risks and ensuring safety in the workplace.

“One of the key objectives of the Rostelecom Health strategy is the implementation of comprehensive digital solutions aimed at protecting the health of employees of government and commercial organizations. The agreement with NIIAT was an important step in this direction, which confirms that Rostelecom’s remote medical examination service meets the highest state standards and requirements of regulatory authorities, ensuring both road safety and the efficiency of transport companies,” said Irina Nesterova, CEO of RTK-MedOperator.

Rostelecom's solution for monitoring driver health is provided on a turnkey basis. The comprehensive service includes the supply of equipment and 24-hour remote medical examinations by medical professionals throughout the country. A high level of personal data security is ensured by placing the infrastructure in Rostelecom’s secure data centers in compliance with all information security requirements.

Let us remind you that remote pre-shift and pre-trip medical examinations are regulated by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 30, 2023 No. 866 “On the specifics of conducting medical examinations using medical devices that provide automated remote transmission of information about the health status of workers and remote monitoring of their health status.”
