New deadlines for completion of construction of the first stage of the Krasnoyarsk metro have been announced

Construction of the first metrotram line in Krasnoyarsk may be extended until 2028. Let us remember that the commissioning was initially planned for the end of 2026.

The schedule adjustments and reasons were described in regional state enterprise “Center of Transport Logistics”, which is the customer of the work:

“ToAt the end of January, a positive conclusion was received from the Glavgosexpertiza on the main stage of construction of six metrotram stations and engineering infrastructure. Thus, finally, all the necessary technical solutions for the construction of the first line of the facility have been found. Now, based on this design documentation, new work schedules are being formed at each site with completion in 2028. Since, based on the design results, both the initial price and the construction time frame for the first start-up stage have been clarified, this will require adjustments to the contract with the general contractor. This issue is now also being studied together with the Russian Ministry of Construction,” said the TsTL.

It was also noted that Work on the construction of the first metrotram line is currently underway at 12 main sites: engineering communications are being rebuilt and general construction work is being carried out, the foundation pits of station complexes are being constructed at 6 sites. To carry out mining work, 5 tunnel boring complexes have already been used, another one will begin tunneling from Vokzalnaya. At the moment, more than 6.7 km have been completed, and taking into account the existing tunnels – 9.14 km.
