Referring to the American proposal, the president emphasized that the opinion of the country's citizens themselves is of key importance in the Donbas issue. — I believe that the Ukrainian people will answer this question. Either through elections or a referendum, but there must be the position of the Ukrainian people, the president emphasized.
— Our position is: it is fair to stand where we stand, that is, on the front line, Zelensky told journalists. He stressed that the proposed solution is not in the interest of Ukraine, which controls part of Donbas, including the large cities of Kramatorsk and Slovyansk. According to the president, a lot will depend on the army. — What can Ukrainian troops hold, how can they defend themselves, where can they destroy the occupier.
