Szymon Hołownia has decided to run for the head of Poland 2050

Although Hołownia repeatedly announced that he would not run again, some activists were convinced that he would change his mind and enter the competition. According to Onet's interlocutors the group's leader was to consider various scenarios, but ultimately decided to stick to the previous declaration. Thus, the party will elect a new chairman without the participation of its most recognizable figure.

Szymon Hołownia wants to join the UN. The decision is expected to be made soon
In autumn, Szymon Hołownia officially announced that he was running for the position of UN High Commissioner for Refugees. This happened just after the poor result of the then Speaker of the Sejm in the presidential elections, as well as before the need to fulfill the coalition agreement and hand over the position of Speaker of the Sejm to Włodzimierz Czarzasty.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, head of UNHCR, is the highest representative of the United Nations responsible for the protection of refugees and people forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution or humanitarian disasters. As TVN24 recently reported, the UN decision on this matter may be made as early as this week.
The High Commissioner's most important tasks include managing UNHCR's global activities in over 130 countries, coordinating humanitarian aid for refugees, internally displaced persons and stateless persons, representing their interests on the international forum, negotiating with state governments the terms of protection, relocation or integration of refugees, responding to migration crises and mobilizing financial resources for aid.
