December 10 11:00

The Ministry of Agriculture of the region summed up the results of the selection of applications to compensate part of the costs for the purchase of breeding products. Ten agricultural producers in the region will receive more than 55.8 million rubles.

The list of subsidized breeding animals includes cattle for dairy and meat production, small cattle, day-old chickens for meat and eggs, and queen bees. A mandatory condition for receiving state support for farms purchasing cattle is the preservation of breeding stock for two years after the subsidy is provided. Among the winners of this year’s selection is Barkhatovskaya Poultry Farm JSC. The company annually purchases 34 thousand heads of breeding laying hens and 4 thousand roosters.

“Livestock enterprises in the region pay great attention to increasing productivity and product quality. Breeding work is being carried out, investment projects are being implemented, modernization is being carried out, and feeding rations are being improved. Thanks to this, the regional livestock breeders have been showing steady growth for several years now. In terms of milk productivity of cows, the Krasnoyarsk Territory is in first place in the Siberian Federal District. Providing farms with breeding stock is one of the key tasks of the industry. We will definitely continue to support this direction next year,” noted the region’s Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Voropaev.

Based on the results of the selection, farmers will be compensated for half the cost of 522 heads of breeding cattle, 98,700 heads of day-old chicks and 160 queen bees purchased in 2024 from the regional budget.

“Support is very important to us. Acquiring a breeding herd is a necessity. This is how we create a closed cycle – from the parent flock to industrial laying hens. Firstly, this increases the biosecurity of the enterprise, because we do not import industrial chickens from another region, but raise them ourselves. Secondly, this way we are not dependent on the market in terms of purchasing young industrial laying hens. Production costs are much lower. Breeding animals are highly productive. Having our own parent flock, we increase the gross egg collection,” says Ulyana Kuznetsova, director of the poultry farm.
