Prime Minister Sergei Vereshchagin chaired a meeting of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, at which a number of important decisions were made in the field of ecology and environmental management.

The territory of the Ergaki Natural Park has been expanded to 393,476 hectares due to the inclusion of the Kedran relict island. In addition, the area of the recreational and tourist zone has been reduced – with an increase in the zone of traditional environmental management – to ensure the safety of tourists from attacks by wild animals.

As a result of bidding for the arrangement of waste storage sites and the purchase of containers this year, some municipalities achieved savings of 23.9 million rubles. It was decided to use this money to purchase another 917 containers.

Redistribution based on savings accumulated during the year was approved under the state program “Forestry Development, Reproduction and Use of Natural Resources.” About 4.3 million rubles will be spent on the purchase of spare parts for inspectors’ cars, as well as the purchase of computer and office equipment.

Let us remind you that earlier it became known that in the Ergaki natural park they plan to rebuild the Edelweiss recreation center for 280 million rubles. The project involves the construction of a 2-story information center with a canteen, a first-aid post, a laundry room and a playroom for children. There will also be 13 houses on the base.
