Products for dough:

• 120 ml water;
• 10 g fresh yeast;
• 5 g sugar;
• 100 g flour.

Products for the test:

• dough;
• one egg;
• 1 g salt;
• 50 g sugar;
• 50 g butter;
• 200 g flour.

Products for filling:

• 250 g poppy seeds;
• egg for brushing.

Preparation

1. Prepare the dough. To do this, mix yeast, sugar, water and flour. Leave for 25 minutes in a warm place.
2. Prepare the dough. Add salt, egg, sugar to the dough. Mix everything with a whisk. Add cooled melted butter. Stir. Add sifted flour. Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Form into a ball, cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for two hours.
3. Divide the dough into two equal parts, leaving a little for decoration.
4. Roll out one part and lay out the poppy seed filling. Form into a roll. Repeat the same with the second part.
5. Connect the edges of the roll and braid it.
6. Transfer the roll into a baking dish. Using a sharp knife, make cuts on each wave of the roll.
7. From the remaining dough, make a decor in the form of roses and insert into the slits.
8. Cover the loaf and leave it in a warm place for one hour to allow the dough to rise.
9. Before baking, brush the roll with beaten egg and milk.
10. Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C.
