A couple from Krasnoyarsk received a suspended sentence for stealing someone else's bank card

In Krasnoyarsk, police officers proved the guilt of a married couple accused of stealing money from someone else's bank card. This was reported by the press service of the regional police.
In May, a resident of Krasnoyarsk reported to the police department that money had been stolen from her account. According to the Krasnoyarsk woman, she asked neighbor to buy her medicine and gave her her bank card. In the evening, the woman told the victim that she had lost the card. After checking the account, the woman discovered that 2,700 rubles had been withdrawn from it.
“During the operational activities, the police identified the perpetrators. A married couple was involved in the incident. A woman born in 1970 found the card in a pharmacy, after which, together with her husband born in 1966, they paid her at a gas station, in a store and when buying groceries,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region clarified.
A criminal case was opened on this fact according to Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The Sovetsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced the spouses to one year of suspended imprisonment.
The damage caused to the victim was fully compensated during the investigation.
