Palamar was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd degree


“For the personal courage shown in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I decree […] award the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd degree […] Palamar Svyatoslav Yaroslavovich – lieutenant colonel,” the document says.

Also, according to the decree, the president awarded various awards to a group of military personnel from different units, police and border guards, some of them posthumously.

Palamar was born in 1982 in the Lviv region. Graduated from the Lviv Trade and Economic University and the Kharkov National University of Internal Affairs. Participant of the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity.

Since 2014, he has been participating in the war against the Russian Federation. Participant in the defense of Mariupol, Donetsk region in 2022. From May to September 2022 he was in Russian captivity. Awarded the title “Hero of Ukraine”.
