What are the benefits of turmeric?

Turmeric is actively used not only in cooking, but also in medicine. This is due to its composition: it includes B vitamins, ascorbic acid, phylloquinone, calcium, iron, phosphorus, choline, iodine, and essential oils.

A tablespoon of turmeric provides the daily requirement for manganese, 16% of the daily requirement for iron, 5% of the daily requirement for potassium and 3% of the daily requirement for vitamin C.

What happens if you drink warm water with turmeric in the morning?

Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. If an acute inflammatory process is a normal reaction of the immune system to a disease, then chronic inflammation is a disorder that provokes malfunctions in the functioning of many organs and systems.

Persistent chronic inflammation can lead to the development of cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative processes, metabolic disorders and even cancer. A glass of water with turmeric in the morning can be a powerful means of preventing many dangerous pathologies.

According to Nikolai Tikhenko, water with turmeric in the morning improves the vascular endothelium, increases the strength and elasticity of blood vessels. Turmeric reduces the level of low-density lipoproteins – the so-called “bad cholesterol”, the excess of which can cause the development of vascular atherosclerosis.

There are studies showing that regular consumption of turmeric helps prevent the development of Alzheimer's disease. Therefore, if you want to maintain mental clarity into old age, start drinking turmeric water every morning today.

Drinking turmeric water in the morning reduces the risk of cancer. Turmeric has anti-diabetic effects by enhancing glucose absorption and improving pancreatic beta cell function. Turmeric can restore oxidative stress and DNA methyltransferase functions in diabetic retinopathy.

How to drink turmeric with water in the morning

There are different ways to prepare this healthy drink. The simplest is to add 0.5 teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of water and stir thoroughly so that there are no lumps left. You can supplement the drink with spices – black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, honey or lemon juice.

It is advisable to drink a glass of water with turmeric in the morning immediately after waking up, the nutritionist warned. It is optimal to use water at room temperature or warm, up to 40 degrees. Try not to eat breakfast within 30-60 minutes of drinking water. It is recommended to drink no more than one glass of turmeric water at a time.
