The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory called for strengthening the fight against telephone scammers and illegal migrants

Governor Mikhail Kotyukov held a visiting meeting of the coordination meeting on ensuring law and order in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in Minusinsk.
The participants discussed the results of preventive measures taken in the field of illegal migration, as well as crimes committed by foreigners and stateless persons. The head of the region noted that the task of suppressing illegal migration and eliminating channels of illegal entry is now coming to the fore:
“It is important that obtaining citizenship is legal and that those who acquire it remember their responsibilities. In general, we note positive dynamics – the migration flow is decreasing, and the number of offenses by foreigners has decreased. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen preventive work and control, including over the reliability of documents on language proficiency.”
Also, authorities and law enforcement officers analyzed the prevention and suppression of crimes committed using modern information technologies. According to experts, the share of such offenses in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is more than a third of the total. At the same time, for the first time in three years, a decrease is observed – by approximately 10%.
“This is a good trend, a sign that certain government programs are working: there are solutions, including those of a technical nature. At the same time, we must constantly improve our tools and interactions in the field of digital technologies. Now it is important to focus on increasing the effectiveness of the fight against telephone fraud,” the head of the region emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, the commission members discussed work plans for the next year.
