The capital's budget for 2025 was approved on Thursday evening by the General Council of Bucharest, with 38 favorable votes. CSM Bucharest, the club funded by the administration led by Nicușor Dan, will receive in 2025 almost 13 million euros, according to the information obtained by the Sports Gazeta.

The City Hall of Bucharest has proposed, for this year, a budget worth 2.2 billion euros. The budget was approved by the General Council in the second attempt.

According to Forbes, Nicușor Dan pointed out that, within two years, the capital's budget was diminished by 30%. He criticized the “unfair” distribution of the funds between the General City Hall and the City Halls, adding that, for this reason, The year 2025 will be “a lost year” for Bucharest, and many projects needed for the city have been postponed.

Even under these conditions, the budget of the capital includes a special chapter dedicated to the Municipal Sports Club Bucharest.

According to information published by gsp.rothe initial budget of the SCM for 2025 was 58,820,000 lei, the equivalent of 11.76 million euros.

However, following an amendment requesting an additional, the final amount allocated to the club reached about 13 million euros – more precisely, 12,940,000 euros.

This represents the largest budget allocation ever received by CSM Bucharest from the General City Hall. The biggest budget that CSM Bucharest in recent years was in 2022, when the club has benefited from about 11.76 million euros!
