Electric cars “raise doubts among entrepreneurs”
Monika Constant, president of the Polish Leasing Association, pointed out in an interview with “Rzeczpospolita” that entrepreneurs still have many reservations about electric cars. As she explained, business clients often feel that this technology does not fully meet their needs, which makes it difficult to change their attitude. The leasing industry warns that imposing an obligation on companies to purchase only electric cars may lead to a decline in sales of new cars in Poland and slow down the process of replacing older vehicles with more ecological models.
Wojciech Drzewiecki, president of the Samar Automotive Market Research Institute, quoted by “Rzeczpospolita”, drew attention to the need to introduce appropriate support programs that could accelerate the sale of electric vehicles. In his opinion, help in the form of tax breaks or subsidies is crucial, but currently such initiatives are addressed mainly to individual clients, not to companies.
