PSB is considering the possibility of supporting private space projects

The PSB Group, together with the National Technology Initiative, is considering the possibility of supporting projects in the field of private astronautics, said Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President, Director of External Relations of PSB, speaking at the expert session “Synergy for Space: New Models of Interaction between Russian Business, the State and the BRICS+ Countries” within the framework of the XII Congress “Innovative Practice: Science Plus Business”.

“The space industry opens up a lot of space for commercial activities. The most promising niches from a business point of view are the production of satellites and services related to remote sensing of the Earth and data transmission, as well as the production of launch vehicles. Together with the Innopraktika company, we are now opening a Support Center for high-tech companies with a focus on space activities to provide assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in need of investments, partners and consulting services. From the point of view of financial instruments that allow the development of space projects, we can highlight the mechanism of public-private partnership and access to an IPO. By supporting national champions of high-tech, PSB Bank helps to increase the attractiveness of the Russian space industry for business and investors,” noted Vera Podguzova.

According to her, in Soviet times, our country stepped forward 35 years in space developments, and on this base left by our ancestors, we need to develop the space industry and take it to the international arena.

The moderator of the session was Denis Kravchenko, deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy. The session was attended by Deputy General Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation Boris Glazkov, General Director of the ANO Innovative Engineering Center Nikolai Kolpakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geoscan Group Alexey Semenov and others.
