George Simion claims that the “only real chance” of the fall of the government is for Anca Alexandrescu to win in Bucharest / He invokes the need for social movements, “like in Bulgaria”, where they were peaceful, and “like in Nepal”, where they were violent

Deputy George Simion, the leader of the AUR, said on Wednesday on Realitatea Plus that the censure motion against the Bolojan Government will be submitted on Friday and will be voted on next week. “I believe that this government will fall only if Anca Alexandrescu comes out” general mayor in Sunday's elections, he added.
The AUR leader believes that early elections are needed.
“We are submitting this motion of censure. If we took people to the streets, we took them out, we will take them out again. I think the solution at this moment is the early elections. We have 90 of the 233 parliamentarians that are needed. We would have needed lucidity and less division at the time of December 1, that is, exactly one year ago, some elections that I do not understand why they were not canceled if the presidential ones were canceled,” said George Simon.
He claims that the current government can only be dismissed if the candidate supported by AUR wins the elections for the Capital City Hall.
“The only real chance that this motion will pass next week is (…) if on Sunday, in overwhelming numbers, part of the Romanian people, that is, those who can vote in Buzau and Bucharest, will make a change and will no longer vote with these candidates for power (…). I think that this government will only fall if Anca Alexandrescu (candidate supported by AUR at the Capital City Hall, no) comes out (general mayor, no)”, added the deputy.
“I saw a horrifying, terrible spectacle at many press trusts”
Simion claims that AUR members and sympathizers who went to Alba Iulia to celebrate the National Day “were denigrated” by “many media trusts”
“I think there were about 50,000 patriots in Alba Iulia, who came especially to mark the moment. I saw a horrifying, terrible show at many media trusts, who, due to scandals and lies like that we paid the participants, with 100 lei and a bun, and a hamburger, did not take us out. From morning to evening, on the National Day, they toured this. We are a big party now and I apologize to the members and supporters of the AUR, who came to Alba Iulia for a national holiday and were humiliated in this way,” the party leader said.
He said that the Romanians he talks to suggest that he organize protests like those that took place recently in Bulgaria and Nepal.
“Their question is, why don't we do like the Bulgarians, in the last days. Why don't we do like the Nepalese? That's where we are, if we take those who led Romania to the pulp, we'll find that, in the same way, they have sons and daughters with fortunes and luxurious apartments in Dubai, and with the same kind of private faculties abroad. And, I repeat, I took on the mantle of a politician six years ago, when I started from zero AUR, and I'm trying, I hope, to return to democracy and within this framework of political parties and the democratic game, but people are no longer patient and I partially understand them. At the same time, I don't see a solution in boycotting Sunday's vote,” Simion said.
